In the “involve” group we explore emotional embodied interaction. We want to create systems that use both physical and cognitive modalities so that users get strong experiences of the underlying and more physical signs that occur in real life communication. However, we do not believe that these experiences need to be and also could not be exactly the same as in everyday reality. Instead we argue that the digital setting has other modalities to offer. In search for new paths of innovation and to answer the need of other ways but the traditional to communicate and experience information technology, we strive to build a group of mixed competencies such as design, engineering, computer science, dance, sociology and music.
